Our speed gates are rated at up to 30 people per minute per lane in normal operation. Actual throughput depends on the credential type: RFID tap is fastest, QR scan is slightly slower, and face recognition takes under one second per person. For peak-hour planning, count the number of people arriving in your busiest 15-minute window and divide by the per-lane rate.

Each lane's IR sensor array (up to 6 pairs on speed gate models) detects how many people enter per credential event. If a second person attempts to follow on the same tap or scan, the panels close or an alarm is triggered. This is standard behaviour in all our speed gates and can be tuned via the access controller software.

The same IR sensor array that enforces one-person-per-credential also detects tailgating — someone following closely behind an authorised user.
